To work with the behavioral health providers, medical staff, nursing staff, management team to assure clinical quality of the highest standard. This position counsels patients with emotional, developmental and/or personality problems, referring severe cases to appropriate community or medical agencies. As a Facilities Staff member with NOCHSI you will maintain and clean all areas of the facility including patient rooms, restrooms, hallways and the lobby area. Job Description: Clinical Educator
Northern Oswego Health Services, Inc, provides Oswego and Southern Jefferson County residents with a variety of comprehensive health care and related services. NOCHSI is seeking a Clinical Educator to add to its patient focused team.
As a Clinical Educator you would be responsible for developing, teaching, and delivering select training materials to build staff’s knowledge, skills and abilities, including training new employees as well as continuing education for existing employees. Complete new hire orientation for clinical providers and clinical staff including EMR training and infection control is a primary responsibility of this position as well. Analyzing Clinic performance through report analysis and report findings as requested by appropriate leadership, as well as, engaging in Patient Centered Medical Home, Meaningful Use and quality initiatives, including participating with clinical projects are major focuses of the position.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for Clinical Education and patient focused care. Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program, with a current New York State license as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RN in a clinical practice, preferably in an outpatient setting. Experience with an EMR and coding/billing required. Phlebotomy and CLIA waived testing experience required.
